The Josh Kuebler Mite Division is for boys and girls ages 7 and 8 who are born in 2013 or 2014.
Mites: Birth Years 2013-2014:
The Mite division is named in memory of Josh Kuebler whose life was cut short at age 15 in a tragic hiking accident at Chestnut Ridge. Josh loved playing hockey for the Hamburg Hawks.
The Josh Kuebler Mite Division consists of 7 and 8-year-old players. Mite teams will have 10 to 11 players per team and will be on the ice twice a week, practice on Saturday, and games on Sunday. For the first few weeks, they will practice a minimum of twice per week, then transition to a practice/game format. All games will be cross-ice or half-ice games. Mite practices will have four teams on the ice per ice session. Ice times for Mites are on a rotating basis meaning they will vary each week. A several-week schedule will be provided. There will also be a round-robin “tournament” and championship game just like the older divisions to end the season. The cost is $450.00. The Mites start in October and end in mid-March. After the registration process ends, you will receive an email with your specific start time. HHHA mite teams will also participate once again in the WNYAHL Mite Jamboree program. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2021-22 season.
