Hamburg Hawks Hockey Registration for

House and MOHL players

Online registration is open for the 2023-2024 House and MOHL Teams.

All players must have their 2023-2024 USA Hockey ID number prior to registering. Please visit https://membership.usahockey.com/ to obtain your new ID number.

Super Hero Sign-ups

The following Divisions will wear Super Hero Jerseys for the 2023-24 Season:

The Hawks IP (Initiation Program): Birth Years 2017-2020

The IP program is for players aged 4-6 years old. The program meets once a week on Saturday mornings at 9:00am and will have 25 sessions. IP players are true beginners and if they don’t know how to skate they will be taught. Coaches will focus on skill development in a fun atmosphere. Practice to game ratio will be approximately 3 to 1. Practice sessions are divided into stations such as forward, backward skating, stopping, etc. When games start they will be in a cross-ice or half-ice "pond hockey" format. The cost is $170.00. The Hawks IP start date will be in October and end in Mid-March. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2023-24 season.

 

The Mini-Mite Division is for boys and girls 6 years old and born in 2017-2018.

Mini-Mites: Birth Year 2017-18:

The Mini-Mite division is designed for 6-year-old players and is limited to 64 players. Mini-Mites practice twice a week, there will be 44 sessions. The Mini-Mite division is designed to build skills and practices in a fun atmosphere. Practices will utilize a station set-up to develop different skating/hockey skills. The ratio of practice to games will be approximately 3 to 1. All games will be either cross-ice or half-ice. Mini-mites meet on Sundays at 10:00am and Thursdays at 6:00pm. The cost is $210.00. Mini-Mites will start in October and finish in mid-March. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2023-24 season.

 

The Josh Kuebler Mite Division is for boys and girls ages 7 and 8 who are born in 2015 or 2016.

Mites: Birth Years 2015-2016:

The Mite division is named in memory of Josh Kuebler whose life was tragically cut short at age 15 in a hiking accident at Chestnut Ridge.  Josh loved playing hockey for the Hamburg Hawks and we are honored to name our Mite Division after him.

The Josh Kuebler Mite Division consists of 7 and 8-year-old players. Mite teams will have 10 to 11 players per team and will be on the ice twice a week, practicing on Saturday, and playing games on Sunday. For the first few weeks, they will practice a minimum of twice per week, then transition to a practice/game format. Games will follow USA Hockey ADM guidelines. Ice times for Mites are on a rotating basis meaning they will vary each week. There will also be a round-robin “tournament” and championship game just like the older divisions to end the season. The cost is $470.00. The Mites start in October and end in mid-March. After the registration process ends, you will receive an email with your specific start time. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2023-24 season.

Squirts: Birth Years 2013-2014:

The Squirt Program is for boys and girls born in 2013 or 2014. Squirt teams play full ice games. The Squirt program emphasizes teamwork, skating, puck-handling skills, and having fun on the ice. Games will be held on Sundays. Practices will be on Saturdays but there could be an occasional exception. There will also be skating clinics held throughout the season. The cost is $560. The Squirts will start in October and run through mid-March. You will receive an email with your specific divisional start time. HHHA will once again participate in an Inter-Association League with other local associations. There will be both an intra and inter-division playoffs with a Championship game to be played between the top two teams from each association. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2023-24 season.

 

Peewee’s Bantam’s and Midgets will wear Hamburg Hawks jerseys:

Peewees: Birth Years 2011-2012:

The Peewee Program is for boys and girls born in 2011-2012. The Peewee program emphasizes teamwork, skating, puck-handling skills, and having fun on the ice. Games will be held on Sundays. Practices will be on Saturdays but there could be occasional weekday practices. There will also be skating clinics held throughout the season. The cost is $560.00. The season will start in October and run through mid-March. You will receive an email with your specific divisional start time. HHHA will once again participate in an Inter-Association League with other local associations. There will be both an intra and inter-division playoffs with a Championship game to be played between the top two teams from each association. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2023-24 season.


Bantams: Birth Years 2009-2010:

The Hamburg Hawks Bantam teams are for players born in 2009 and 2010. Our bantam teams will play in the WNYAHL league. The Hawks Bantam MOHL teams will be on the ice on average twice per week and the program is designed to continue to improve a player's hockey skills with an emphasis on teamwork, friendship, skating, and other hockey skills. Registration is first-come, first-serve, and spots are limited. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2023-24 season. The cost for the Bantam program is $560.00 and goalies cost is $160.00. 

 

Hamburg Midget 16 MOHL Team for the 2022-2023 Season:

The Hamburg Hawks 16U Midget MOHL team is for players born in 2007 and 2008. Our 16U team will play in the WNYAHL league. The Hawks 16U MOHL team will be on the ice on average twice per week and is designed to continue to improve a player's hockey skills with an emphasis on teamwork, skating, and other hockey skills, including having fun. Space is limited to 18 skaters and 2 goaltenders and is on a first-come, first-serve. HHHA needs to organize the 16U MOHL team ASAP so that we know if we have enough players for a team so registration will be stopped on August 1st. The cost to play is $560.00 and goalies cost is $160.00. 

 

Hamburg Midget 18 MOHL Team for the 2022-2023 Season:

The Hamburg Hawks 18U Midget MOHL team is for players born in 2005 and 2006. Our 18U team will play in the WNYAHL league. The Hawks 18U MOHL team will be on the ice on average twice per week and is designed to continue to help improve a player's hockey skills with an emphasis on teamwork, skating, and other hockey skills as the players enter their last two years of youth hockey. Space is limited to 18 skaters and 2 goaltenders and is on a first-come, first-serve. HHHA needs to organize the 18U MOHL team ASAP so that we know if we have enough players for a team so registration will be stopped on August 1st. The cost to play is $560.00 and goalies cost is $160.00. 


Frequently Asked Questions

2023-2024 House League

The Hamburg Hawks house hockey program is open to players aged 4-19. The program starts in October and runs through March. Our home rinks are Hamburg Town Arena (Nike Base) and Leisure Rinks.
