2025-26 HHHA House & MOHL Reg
The Hamburg Hawks Hockey Association (HHHA) is a volunteer-led youth hockey development program for boys and girls.
We accept players aged 4-18. The season runs from October - March. Our home rinks are the Hamburg Town Arena (Nike Base) and Leisure Twin Rinks. Practices and games are typically on the weekends, except where noted in the registration information for each age group. Jerseys and hockey socks are included in your registration fee.
Goaltenders are provided with extra instruction weekly.
Note: Player registration in some age divisions is limited. We will add players to a waiting list if there is sufficient players interested in developing additional teams.
2025-26 Season
IP (Initiation Program): Birth Years 2019-21
The IP Division is for beginner boys and girls 4-6 years old
The IP program is for players aged 4-6 years old. The program meets once a week for 25 weeks on Saturday mornings at 11:30AM. Sessions will begin in October and end in the middle of March. IP players are true beginners and will learn the basics of hockey, How to skate, shoot, and be part of a team, Coaches will focus on skill development in a fun atmosphere with sessions divided into small group stations. Practice to game ratio will be approximately 3 to 1 with games being cross-ice or half-ice "pond hockey" format. The cost for this season will be $250. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Mini-Mites: Birth Year 2019-20*
The Mini-Mite Division is for boys and girls 6 years old
The Mini-Mite division is designed for 6-year-old players (*5 yr olds can register if they played one year of IP). Mini-Mites practice twice a week with 44 sessions in total. Sessions will begin in October and end in the middle of March. The Mini-Mite division is designed to continue the focus on skill development in a fun atmosphere. Practices will be small group station based practices. Practice to game ratio will be approximately 3 to 1 with games being cross-ice or half-ice "pond hockey" format. Mini-mites meet on Sundays at 10:00am and Thursdays at 6:00pm. There will be a goalie clinic on Saturdays at 9 AM and additional skating clinics during the year. The cost is $315. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Mites: Birth Years 2017-2018
The Josh Kuebler Mite Division is for boys and girls ages 7 and 8 who are born in 2017 or 2018.
The Mite division is named in memory of Josh Kuebler whose life was tragically cut short at age 15 in a hiking accident at Chestnut Ridge. Josh loved playing hockey for the Hamburg Hawks and we are honored to name our Mite Division after him.
The Josh Kuebler Mite Division consists of 7 and 8-year-old players. Mite teams will be on the ice twice a week from October through the middle of March and will generally have practice on Saturday and games on Sunday. Practices will continue to build on the skills and knowledge the players have with all coaches being USA hockey certified. Games and practices will follow USA Hockey ADM guidelines. USA Hockey's American Development Model (ADM) is a comprehensive framework designed to promote long-term athlete development, focusing on age-appropriate training and fostering a love for the game. There will be a goalie clinic on Saturdays at 9 AM and additional skating clinics during the year. There will also be a round-robin “tournament” and championship game just like the older divisions to end the season. The cost is $515. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Squirts: Birth Years 2015-2016
The Squirt Program is for boys and girls born in 2015 or 2016. Squirt teams will be on the ice twice a week from October through the middle of March and will generally have practice on Saturday and games on Sunday. Squirt teams will play full ice games, and in addition to working on skills, players will learn positional play. The Squirt program emphasizes teamwork, skating, puck-handling skills, and having fun on the ice with all coaches being USA hockey certified.. There will be a goalie clinic on Saturdays at 9 AM and additional skating clinics during the year. HHHA will once again participate in an Inter-Association League with other local associations. There will be both an intra and inter-division playoffs with a Championship game to be played between the top two teams from each association. The cost is $600.00. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Peewees: Birth Years 2013-2014
The Peewee Program is for boys and girls born in 2013 or 2014. Peewee teams will be on the ice twice a week from October through the middle of March and will generally have practice on Saturday and games on Sunday. The Peewee program emphasizes teamwork, skating, puck-handling skills, and having fun on the ice with all coaches being USA hockey certified. There will be a goalie clinic on Saturdays at 9 AM and additional skating clinics during the year. HHHA will once again participate in an Inter-Association League with other local associations. There will be both an intra and inter-division playoffs with a Championship game to be played between the top two teams from each association. The cost is $600.00. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Bantam MOHL: Birth Years 2011-2012
The Hamburg Hawks Bantam teams are for players born in 2011 and 2012. Our bantam teams will play in the WNYAHL league. The Hawks Bantam MOHL teams will be on the ice on average twice per week and the program is designed to continue to improve a player's hockey skills with an emphasis on teamwork, friendship, skating, and other hockey skills. There will be a goalie clinic on Saturdays at 9 AM. Registration is first-come, first-serve, and spots are limited. The cost for the Bantam program is $600.00 for skaters and $300 for goalies. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Hamburg Midget 16 MOHL Team: Birth Years 2009-2010
The Hamburg Hawks 16U Midget MOHL team is for players born in 2009 and 2010. Our 16U team will play in the WNYAHL league. The Hawks 16U MOHL team will be on the ice on average twice per week and is designed to continue to improve a player's hockey skills with an emphasis on teamwork, skating, and other hockey skills, including having fun. There will be a goalie clinic on Saturdays at 9 AM. Space is limited to 18 skaters and 2 goaltenders and is on a first-come, first-serve. The cost to play is $600.00 for skaters and $300 for goalies. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Hamburg Midget 18 MOHL Team: Birth Years 2007-2008
The Hamburg Hawks 18U Midget MOHL team is for players born in 2007 and 2008. Our 18U team will play in the WNYAHL league. The Hawks 18U MOHL team will be on the ice on average twice per week and is designed to continue to help improve a player's hockey skills with an emphasis on teamwork, skating, and other hockey skills as the players enter their last two years of youth hockey. There will be a goalie clinic on Saturdays at 9 AM. Space is limited to 18 skaters and 2 goaltenders and is on a first-come, first-serve. The cost to play is $600.00 for skaters and $300 for goalies. In order to register, all players must have a new USA Hockey ID number for the 2025-26 season.
Extra Costs
Some teams elect to purchase extra ice or go to tournaments and those fees are the responsibility of the individual teams.
GOALTENDERS
The Hawks will offer regular goaltender instruction. During registration, please indicate whether your player is a goaltender.

Volunteers/Coaches - Volunteers are always welcome. Coaches are required to complete online training, a background check, and Safesport training. Costs are reimbursed for these requirements for house league coaches.
